RockRunRecycle Across The Nation
What is the Rock ’N’ Roll Marathon?
Organized by Competitor Group, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is the ‘World’s Largest Running Series’ with more than 500,000 people taking part in 26 North American cities each year. The series enjoys great appeal for the destination athlete, tremendous local support and has firmly established itself as a dynamic running platform.
RnR’s music every mile and party-like atmosphere has made long distance running approachable, attracting more and more people to the marathon-running experience. Today, RnR continues to celebrate the run and not just the finish, featuring live bands along the course, cheer teams and entertaining water stations. The outdoor festival encapsulates cities in their entirety and culminates with a finish line festival featuring some of the best music acts around.
How Can I RockRunRecycle?
Currently, ATRS offers donation drop off logistics at seven of the 21 annual RnR marathon stops in the USA. You can RockRunRecycle simply by bringing a bag of unwanted clothing, shoes or running gear to donate at our expo both! Additionally, at each ATRS-sponsored RnR race, our team follows behind runners on the marathon/half marathon course to pick up and recycle all warmup gear dropped on the course. Wear an extra layer to stay toasty before you take off, then toss it on the course as a donation – it’s that simple!
Team ATRS takes plenty of photos at the Expo and on Race Day to post on our Instagram & Facebook pages. If you take your own donator photo or picture with our Green Recycling Fairies, make sure to use hashtag #RockRunRecycle so we can see it, too!
