ATRS Gives Families at Weldon House a Festive Christmas
It was absolutely the most wonderful time of the year for the women and children of The Weldon House in Phoenix this holiday.
The Weldon House is a long-standing ATRS charitable partner and operates the only facility in Arizona where families stay together while moms in transition receive rehabilitation services and support. ATRS Phoenix sponsors the annual Christmas party and works with area businesses, property management companies and well known news anchors each year to gather gifts for these families and celebrate the true spirit of the holiday season.
Armed with festive decorations, gifts for mothers and children, a photo op with a real white-bearded Santa and great entertainment by 14 year-old Sarah Taylor and country music star Rowdy Johnson, the entire ATRS Phoenix team and members of the local Elks Chapter were on hand to join the festivities. It was truly an unforgettable Christmas indeed!
You can help support The Weldon House all year by making clothing donations to the brightly colored orange ATRS recycling bins in the greater Phoenix area. Every bag of unwanted clothing, shoes, toys and other household textiles is weighed and generously support programs and activities at the Weldon House. Almost all furnishings and household items needed by families at the Weldon House is supplied by ATRS. Along with the United Way, ATRS provides the highest annual contribution for this facility.
So do your part and help ATRS and The Weldon House sustain much-needed support for those in need in the local Phoenix community.
